Summary:PURPOSE: To simplify the installation of air conditioner by a method wherein the inside of a casing is divided into an instrument part and a chamber part while a suction port is opened and a compressor, a condenser as well as a fan are arranged in the instrument part but an air outlet port is opened and an evaporator is arranged in the chamber part. CONSTITUTION: The inside of a rectangular parallelepiped casing 2 is divided into an upper section and a lower section by a partitioning plate 5, provided at the substantially center of the casing 2 while the upper section is constituted so as to be an instrument part and the lower section is constituted so as to be a chamber part 4. A suction port is opened on the side surface of the instrument part 3 and an air outlet port is opened on the side surface of the chamber part 4. A compressor 10, a condenser 11 and a fan 12 are arranged in the instrument part 3 while an evaporator is aranged in the chamber part 4. In this case, a refrigerating cycle is provided in the casing 2. According to this method, an air conditioner unit 1 can be installed simply in a building.
