Summary:PURPOSE: To balance the throughput of information transfer within its own system and to another system in a duplex information processing system. CONSTITUTION: Each of duplex information processing system is connected to a system bus and this bus. The system is provided with at least processors CPU, input/output controllers IOC, system bus intersection devices SBX and system bus arbitration devices BA. The duplex system transfers information between the respective information processing systems through the system bus arbitration devices in the respective systems and centralizedly controls the bus arbitration processing in each system bus by common bus arbitration device BA. In the bus arbitration of the duplex system, bus using requests from the system bus intersection devices SBX are processed in preference to any other device connected to the same system bus.
