Summary:PURPOSE: To reduce electric power consumption in the case of burning a deposit accumulated in a filter part, and restrain capacity of a battery and an alternator to the necessary minimum extent. CONSTITUTION: A partition plate 6 is arranged in a housing 2 so as to partition its inside into an exhaust gas introducing side space 7 and a discharge side space 8, and the opening part 5a side of filter units 5 is fitted and fixed to an installing hole 6a formed in the partition plate 6. Heaters 10 are provided in the filter units 5. Actuators 20 are installed on a front wall 2a of the housing 2 so as to be opposed to the respective filter units 5, and valves 22 to open and close the opening parts 5a are fixed to the tips of its piston rods 20a. First passages 27 to communicate with the discharge side space 8 and guide holes 21 are formed in the housing 2 with respective guide holes 21. In the piston rods 20a, first end parts are opened on its tips, and second passages 28 are formed so as to open in a position where second end parts can communicate with second end parts of the first passages 27 when the valves 22 are arranged in a closing position.
