Summary:PURPOSE: To position a work which may appear in different shapes surely and easily using a simple configuration. CONSTITUTION: A work positioning mechanism concerned is equipped with a work front positioning mechanism 42 installed ahead of the transporting direction of a steel slat belt 40, a fixed lateral guide member 44 installed aside in the transporting direction, and a work lateral positioning mechanism 46 installed laterally opposing to the guide member 44. The mechanism 42 selectively has a fixed front guide member 50 and a movable stopper 52 capable of advancing and retreating, while the mechanism 46 has a positioning pusher which can tilt with respect to the transporting direction and can advance and retreat in the tilted position.
