Summary:PURPOSE: To generate white smoke having a stable density without being affected by the temperature and humidity of the atmospheric air. CONSTITUTION: This white smoke generating device is constituted of a device main body 11 having a white smoke exhaust nozzle 11a, a low-temperature liquefied gas feeding mechanism 12 for feeding the low-temperature liquefied gas into the main body 11, and a humidifying/heating mechanism 13 for at least humidifying the air in the main body 11. The feeding mechanism 12 is provided with at least the first pipe 18 connecting a low-temperature liquefied gas storage tank 16 and a low-temperature liquefied gas injection nozzle 17 arranged on the white smoke exhaust nozzle 11a side in the main body 11. The humidifying/heating mechanism 13 is constituted of the second pipe 24 branched from the first pipe 18 and connected to a water spray nozzle 21 arranged in the main body 11 and the third pipe 28 branched from the second pipe 24 and connected to the water spray nozzle 21 via a water storage tank 25, and it is provided with at least a low-temperature liquefied gas evaporator 22 on the upstream side of the third pipe 28 branch point in the second pipe 24.
