Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a highly efficient ozone generator having a small size and generating no current leakage at a discharge electrode. CONSTITUTION: In this ozone generator, an electric power unit 30 turns on an electric current having a frequency generating a resonance in a secondary side of a monovibrator M to a primary side and thus a high voltage is generated in the secondary side, so a monopole discharge can be generated at a discharge electrode 16 of the ozone generator 10 connected to the secondary side of the monovibrator M. As the discharge is a signal pole discharge at the discharge electrode, it enables to efficiently generate ozone from oxygen and no leakage is generated even through ammonium nitrate is generated at the discharge electrode 16.
