Summary:PURPOSE: To reduce effective inductance by a method wherein a first conductor with which the surface of a snubber diode which is opposite to the surface to which a heatsink is attached is connected to a snubber capacitor and a second conductor with which the surface of a switching device opposite to the surface with a heatsink attached is connected to the snubber capacitor are provided. CONSTITUTION: A heatsink 13a is also used as the connection conductor with which the cathode of a GTO 1 is connected to the cathode of a snubber diode 18. A conductor 19a connected to the anode of the snubber diode 18 is connected to one of the terminals of a snubber capacitor 11 and a conductor 19b is connected to the other terminal of the snubber capacitor 11. A conductor 19c is connected to a heatsink 13b which is attached to the anode of the GTO 1. One of the terminals of a resistor 12 is connected to the heatsink 13a with a conductor and the other terminal of the resistor 12 is connected to the conductor 19a. With this constitution, the spacing between the snubber buses can be reduced to the value of the thickness of an insulating spacer 20, so that an effective inductance can be reduced.
