Summary: | PURPOSE: To shorten the length of a range becoming scrap in a sequential continuous casting of mixing different kinds of steels by dividing a tundish into three sections and executing the pressure adjustment of each section according to the pouring condition of molten steel. CONSTITUTION: The molten steel surface level in a molten steel in supplying range C, molten steel pouring range A and intermediate range B are gradually risen while adjusting the pressures supplying the molten steel into the tundish through a long nozzle 2. At the time of rising to such degree of the molten steel surface level that gaps 7a, 7b perfectly dip into the molten steel, the pouring range A and the intermediate range B are pressurized at the same velocity, and the molten steel surface level in the molten steel supplying range C is risen and the tip part of the long nozzle 2 is dipped into the molten steel. Pressure adjustments of the ranges A, B are executed with covers 8, 9 and pressure adjusting means 10. By this method, the rise-up of oxygen concn. in the molten steel can be restrained. |
