Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a forklift which can carry out a loading work at a high place stably and easily, even in a small working place. CONSTITUTION: A fork shape article 19 can be lowered by the operation of a loading device 10 and the fork shape article 19 can be risen by the reverse operation of the loading device 10. When the fork shape article 19 facing to the rear side of a vehicle is elevated, the load center W of an article to be carried supported by the fork shape article 19 is entered in the wheels 3 and a stable high place loading work is carried out, even while miniaturizing a vehicular main body 2. As the article to be carried is not stretched in a vehicular front and back, the forklift can be constituted extremely compactly and also a high place loading work in a narrow space, namely a carrying run and an elevating work can be carried out.
