Summary:PURPOSE: To prevent the output circuit of the programmable controller(PC), which controls a load placed in operation with a DC, power source, from breaking owing to a misconnection of the power source with wrong polarities at the time of PC installation and to eliminate the power loss by the circuit which prevents the breakage while the PC is in operation. CONSTITUTION: The cathode of a protection diode 4 for reverse current prevention which is provided to the circuit where all the current of the output circuit 2A of the PCA1 flows out and prevents the PC output circuit 2A from breaking owing to the misconnection of the power source with wrong polarities is connected to a terminal TN of the output circuit 2A where the minus electrode of the power source driving the load is connected, and its anode is connected to a terminal TS of the output circuit 2A which is arranged successively to the terminal TN; after it is confirmed that the PC1A is installed and the power source is connected having the correct polarities, a short-circuit piece SB is mounted on the terminals TN and TS by clamping to short-circuit the terminals TN and TS.
