PURPOSE: To provide a fragrant white smoke and a method and an apparatus for generating it wherein diffusing condition of the fragrant component can be visually confirmed and a fragrant atmosphere can be prepd. over a wide range by using a small amt. of fragrance. CONSTITUTION: A white smoke with a fragrance is generated by using a fragrant white smoke generating apparatus 1 provided with a contacting tank 6 wherein a low temp. liquified gas feeding means 2, a fragrant component- contg. water feeding means 3, a liquified gas spraying nozzle 4 connected with the low temp. liquified gas feeding means 2 and a fragrant component-contg. water spraying nozzle 5 connected with the fragrant component-contg. water feeding means 3 are arranged, and a heating means 25 for heating the fragrant component-contg. water and bringing the fragrant component-contg. water into contact with the low temp. liquified gas.
