PURPOSE: To quickly and firmly fix a cable to the periphery of a cable leading- out port by easily fitting a cable fixing device to the housing of a motor. CONSTITUTION: A cable fixing device 20 is provided with a guide member 26 which is closely arranged near a cable leading-out port 24 and clamping member 30 which is slidably engaged with the guide member 26 and holds a cable 28 in a fixing state together with a housing 22. The guide member 26 is composed of rails 34 each of which has a protruding edge 36 which is protruded in a direction in which the edge 26 is separated from the edge 36 of another rail 34 and a notch 38 which divides the edge 36 into two parts at a prescribed position in the extending direction of the edge 36. The clamping member 30 is composed of a lid section 42 and projecting sections 44 which are nearly perpendicularly protruded from both edges of the lid section 42. Each projecting section 44 is provided with a protruding edge 48 which is protruded in a direction in which the edge 48 comes closer to another edge 48 and a notch 50 which divides the edge 48 into two parts at a prescribed position in the extending direction of the edge 48. The dimension of the first protruded edge part 48a of the projecting section 44 is decided so that the part 48a can be inserted into the notch 38 of the rail 34.
