Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a plastic container that is equipped with a container cover capable of withstanding to the state of being stacked up for display on a store front even though the cover is made up by vacuum forming that is disadvantageous in terms of strength. CONSTITUTION: A container cover 20, made up by vacuum forming or pressure forming, is composed of a cover top face 21 having an area S for supporting the bottom of a container main body to be put thereon, a projecting rim 23 rising upward for demarcating the area on the cover top face 21, and a skirt 27 extending downward through a connecting belt 25 connecting to the lower end 23b on the external wall 23a of the projecting rim 23. The lower end 23b on the external wall 23a of the projecting rim 23 provided on the container cover 20 is set so that it can be positioned within the width of a flat part on a flange 41 of the container main body, and the skirt 27 of the container cover has an inwardly projecting belt-like channel 29, and the projecting belt-like channel 29 is constructed so that it can be engaged with the external edge 43a of an inclined belt-like part 43 of the container main body.
