Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a carbon fiber laminated and reinforced plastic structure material which is not burnt even at a high temperature and to manufacture a bent pipe having flame retardance by impregnating a carbon fiber layer with thermosetting resin mixed with flame retarder, curing it and forming it to a predetermined shape. CONSTITUTION: Epoxy resin containing flame retarder is prepared by the steps of mixing main agent of thermosetting epoxy resin and curing agent at a suitable mixture ratio, and further mixing flame retardant material such as bromine powder, antimony trioxide, etc., at a suitable mixture ratio such as 20 to 40wt.% to the epoxy resin. Carbon fiber woven fabric 4 cut in a suitable size is temporarily fastened to a core 3, the core 3 is rotated, the cloth 4 is simultaneously coated with the resin containing the material by a spatula, a brush, etc., while being wound on the core 3. Then, the entirety is covered with a bag 5 of a vinyl film, man made fiber yarn woven fabric, etc., having airtightness, thereby preventing the end of the cloth 4 from jumping.
