Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a device for heat treatment of waste using a tar-free rotary kiln. CONSTITUTION: A rotary kiln 1 is provided with a double cylindrical furnace wall whose inner and outer walls are oppositely positioned to interpose therebetween an external heating part space 4 for passing therethrough a high temperature exhaust gas, a heat transfer pipe 5 arranged in the longitudinal direction of the kiln at a predetermined space from the inner wall of the furnace for passing therethrough the high temperature exhaust gas and a support and heat transfer pipe 6 arranged in communication with the heat transfer pipe and the inner wall of the cylindrical furnace for retaining the heat transfer pipe 5 in the furnace and for passing therethrough the high temperature exhaust gas. The space 4 between the inner and outer furnace walls is provided with a partition member for dividing the space in such a manner as to provide at least one support and heat transfer pipe in communication with the walls.
