Summary: | PURPOSE: To provide technique capable of easily compensating (reducing) a polarization dependent loss. CONSTITUTION: By taking out a light beam from an optical device having a multiplexing mirror 23 as a first optical parts causing a polarization dependent loss through a collimator module 27 on the output side, the following procedure is adopted. A second optical parts 25 having property of outputting a beam b1 and a beam b2 into which an incident light beam are divided for every two linearly polarizing components having polarizing planes orthogonal to each other is prepared. The second optical parts 25 and the first optical parts 23 are positioned so that the polarizing planes for every two linearly polarizing components are made coincident with each other. The relative position to two beams b1, b2 on the entrance of the collimator module 27 on the output side is adjusted to a position suitable for compensating the polarization dependent loss caused by the first optical parts 23. |
