Summary:PURPOSE: To realize video capture without special addition of a memory for attribute and without decreasing number of simultaneously displayed colors. CONSTITUTION: A CPU writes '0' to luminance data parts corresponding to a head and an end position of a video capture image display range and display mode and attribute data to color data parts of a video capture RAM 22 for each line. When the state is detected by a Y=0 & C≠0 detection circuit 24, the color data are set to an attribute set register 26. When a black/white level mode is set based on the set content, a C=0 circuit 28 sets C data to '0' and then the resulting data are converted into a video signal for CRT display. A multiplexer 34 provides selectively an output of a converted video signal or a video signal from a graphic memory according to the display mode in the set content in the register 26.
