Summary:PURPOSE: To prevent interference with reinforcing bars by providing a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A variable retainer 16 for preventing an embedded metal device 12 from coming off is provided on the metal device 12 which is formed of a metal plate in a rectangular shape. A threaded rod 22 of the variable retainer 16 is fixed at its one end to the metal device 12 and connected at its other end to one end of a connecting plate 24. The connecting plate 24 is supported so that it can turn round the threaded rod 22, and a bolt 26 is connected to its other end. The bolt 26 moves as the connecting plate 24 turns round the threaded rod 22, and thereby position for embedment can be made variable. In the case where the variable retainer 16 interferes with arranged reinforcing bars 28 on occasion of installing the metal device 12, embedment position for the bolt 26 can be changed by turning the connecting plate 24, and thereby interference with the reinforcing bar 28 can be prevented.
