Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a vacuum cleaner that gives dust static charge by electromagnetic irradiation, collects the charged dust, and discharges air free of fine dust. CONSTITUTION: There are provided a dust collecting bag 14 for collecting relatively large dust, a usual filter 29 and an electromagnetic wave generator 36 to irradiate electromagnetic waves to fine dust passing through these bag and filter to charge the dust. Further, there are provided attracting filters 40, 42 to electromagnetically attract the charged dust for collection and a motor blower 28 to generate air flow flowing to the dust collecting bag 14 and the filter 29 from a place to be cleaned, passing through these bag and filter and flowing further to the attracting filters 40, 42.
