Summary: | PURPOSE: To provide a chuck device which is small-sized and has high reliability without a disc spring, a bearing and a rotary seal by operating a chuck cylinder by switching an oil pressure in and out passage to fasten a chuck piece and release fastening of the same. CONSTITUTION: Oil pressure is applied to a passage L6 of a second oil pressure in and out passage to advance a piston 7 upward, and a port plate 6 is pressed to a chuck cylinder 4 to connect the passage L1 of a first oil pressure in and out passage to L3 and connect L2 to L4 to conduct. Oil pressure is applied to the passage L1 through the passage L3 to operate the chuck cylinder 4, whereby a chuck body 3 is displaced in the axial direction of a spindle 1 so that a chuck piece 2 and the chuck body 3 collide with each other to generate the fastening force. After the completion of fastening, the second oil pressure in and out passages L5, L6 are switched to cut off the first oil pressure in and out passages L1, L2, and the fastening force is kept by a double chuck valve 9 and an accumulator 10. After the end of a drilling work, the second oil pressure in and out passages L5, L6 are switched to again put the first oil pressure in and out passages L1, L2 in the connecting state, and the chuck cylinder 4 is operated to move backward the chuck body 3 to release constraint on the chuck piece 2. |
