Summary: | PURPOSE: To obtain a precise stop position of a carriage or an optical head and to shorten a scanning time by newly providing a reference mark detection circuit and the moving distance detecting and position controlling functions of the carriage. CONSTITUTION: An inversion sensor 15 outputs a position signal in the inverted position of the carriage 1, and the reference mark detection circuit 21 detects a reference mark provided in an optical card. A moving distance detection means consisting of a main control circuit 7, an A/D converter 22 and the inversion sensor, etc., detects that the carriage 1 or the optical head is moved by a prescribed distance based on a detection signal from the reference mark detection circuit 21. A position control means consisting of the main control circuit 7 and a D/A converter 23, etc., performs position control so that the carriage 1 is stopped at a prescribed target stop position based on the position signal of the inversion sensor 15 and a prescribed target position signal. Then, when the fact that the carriage 1 is moved by the prescribed distance is detected by the moving distance detection means, the output signal of the inversion sensor 15 at the time of the detection is inputted to the position control means as the target position signal. |
