Summary:PURPOSE: To facilitate the discrimination of signal levels in case of a trouble and in a normal operation by shifting an output signal of a Hall element from a power source potential or a ground potential. CONSTITUTION: An output signal of a Hall element 1 is amplified with an amplification circuit 3 to be inputted into the gate of an FET4. A diode 5 is provided between the drain of the FET4 and a power source VDD and a diode 7 between the source of the FET4 and the ground. An output terminal is led from between a load resistance 6 and the drain. When the FET4 is ON, a low level higher than a ground potential by a value equivalent to a drop in forward voltage of the diode 7 is picked out as output signal S. When the FET4 is OFF, a high level signal lower than the potential of the power source by a value equivalent to a drop in forward voltage of the diode 5 is picked out as output signal S.
