Summary: | PURPOSE: To reliably prevent the occurrence of erroneous ignition by a noise signal, in an ignition device for an internal combustion engine by using a signal generator arranged in a multipole flywheel magnet generator. CONSTITUTION: First and second magnetic detecting elements H1 and H2 are arranged in such a state that a position is displaced in the rotation direction of a magnet rotor in a position positioned facing the magnetic pole. A magnetic flux generated from the magnet of a magnet rotor is detected by two magnetism detecting elements to generate first and second rectangular wave signals Vq1 and Vq2 between which a phase difference is produced. An ignition permit signal generating circuit 5 is provided to output an ignition permit signal when one of two rectangular signals is in a high level state and the other is in a low level state. A switch 6 for a signal side passage is connected between the signal input terminals of an ignition voltage generating part 3. Only when an ignition permit signal Va is generated, energization of the switch 6 for a signal side passage is blocked and the feed of a signal to the ignition voltage generating part 3 is permitted. |
