Summary:PURPOSE: To enhance the printing quality while suppressing temp. fluctuations due to a pattern by controlling the heat values of respective heating elements so as to suppress the temp. fluctuations caused by peripheral heating elements at the time of the recording of respective lines. CONSTITUTION: A voltage correction value for suppressing long cyclic temp. fluctuations and a voltage correction value for suppressing a medium cyclic temp. fluctuations appearing by a pattern are added to a center voltage command value to calculate the drive voltage command value of a thermal head. The obtained driving voltage command value is amplified by an amplifier 40 to be sent to a driving voltage control part 37. Concretely, in a system controller, the temp. detection signals TAL, Ta from respective temp. detectors are digitalized by an A/D converter and operational processing is performed by a CPU to calculate the drive voltage command value which is, in turn, analogized by a D/A converter to be sent to the drive voltage control part 37.
