Summary:PURPOSE: To provide methods which are applicable to formation of images by printing, etc., and formation of color filters for display, such as liquid crystal displays, by uniformly and efficiently injecting dyestuff in an undecomposed state into a target film without diffusion, thereby forming the images having the high reproducibility and homogeneity of color tone and bright contours. CONSTITUTION: This method for injecting the molecules of the dyestuff comprises bringing a source film A, which is formed by dispersing the dyestuff capable of absorbing pulse laser beams, for example, pyrene and phthalocyanine, into an org. high-polymer compd. (a) and a target film B, which consists of an org. high-polymer compd. (b) allowing the transmission of the pulse laser beams, into tight contact with each other, irradiating the source film A with the pulse laser beams of the intensity below the abrasion threshold value of the source film A through the target film B and injecting the dyestuff in the source film A into the target film. This image forming method comprises forming the images on the target film B by using the method described above. This process for producing color filters comprises injecting the dyestuff of red, green and blue into the target film by using the method described above.
