Summary: | PURPOSE:To inexpensively and easily obtain a molded article of every kind having a curved surface corresponding to a purpose by using one common mold by coating the area imparting a curved surface of the molded article taken out of a mold with a swelling agent and subsequently removing the swelling agent while holding the molded article to a desired shape. CONSTITUTION:A monomer soln. A composed of metathesis polymerizable olefin containing a metathesis polymerization catalyst, pref., a tungsten compd., pref., a compd. having a norbornene skeleton containing the above mentioned catalyst and a monomer soln. B containing the activator component of the catalyst are mixed to be injected into a mold and polymerized to mold a crosslinked polymer molded article having a curved surface. At the time of molding, the area having to impart a curved surface of the molded article taken out of the mold is coated with a swelling agent, for example, a hydrocarbon solvent or a halogenated hydrocarbon solvent to be swollen and the swelling agent is removed by heating while a desired shape is held. |
