Summary:PURPOSE:To effectively use a piezoelectric bimorph as a vibration source while employing one end as an output end by connecting a rigid body block suppressing deformation to the other end of the vibrating piezoelectric bimorph so as to generate an active torsional vibration only in one end. CONSTITUTION:In the ypiezoelectric bimorph 1, piezoelectric plates 4a, 5a are arranged side by side on one surface of the opposed planes on a vibration plate 3 made of a metallic plate or the like so as to be adhered, while piezoelectric plates 4b, 5b are arranged side by side on the other surface so as to be adhered, so that the piezoelectric plates 4a and 4b, or 5a and 5b are arranged in the opposed condition. When a voltage is impressed, shrinkages (a) and extensions (b) are generated in the respective piezoelectric plates 4a, 4b, and these processes are carried out alternately, so that a bend c1 is generated in the bimorph l on one side in the thickness direction. At the same time, the generation of shrinkages (a) and extensions (b) in the piezoelectric plates 5a, 5b are carried out alternately when the voltage is impressed, so that a bend c2 is generated on the other side in the thickness direction. In other words, a torsional vibration is generated in one end of the bimorph 1. A rigid body block 2 suppressing the deformation of the other end is integrally connected to the other end part situated opposite to the one end side, in which the torsional vibration in the bimorph 1 is generated. Therefore, no deformation according to the torsional vibration is generated in the other end side, while the active torsional vibration is generated only on the one end side.
