Summary: | PURPOSE:To provide a switch excellent in mass productivity with the less number of part items and having a stable characteristic. CONSTITUTION:In a switch 10, a Kovar alloy plate (29Ni-17Co-the remaining Fe) having a plurality of through-holes 12a, 12b is used as a pair of metal plates 11a, 11b, so that a bonding member 13 consisting of an epoxy resin having electric insulating property is not interposed between the opposed surfaces 21a, 21b of the metal plates 11a, 11b. The metal plates 11a, 11b are laminated and integrated together by the bonding member 13 filled in the respective through-holes 12a, 12b, and terminals 15a, 15b to be connected to a power source are fixed to and arranged on both main surfaces of the metal plates 11a, 11b. When the current carried to the switch 10 exceeds a fixed quantity, both the metal plates 11a, 11b are heated by the bonding member (epoxy resin) 13, the opposed surfaces 21a, 21b are mutually separated to form a cavity on the basis of the thermal expansion difference between them (the thermal expansion coefficient of the metal plates 11a, 11b < the thermal expansion coefficient of the bonding member 13), and the switch is laid in the opened (OFF) state. |
