Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a pressure-contact connector, in which contact reliability is improved by carrying out a wiping action without increasing a contact pressure excessively. CONSTITUTION:A guide pin 11 is projected on the side face of a connector pin 10, while a spiral guide groove 12 is cut on the wall face of a through hole 5 for storage of a pin of a connector housing 4. A guide pin 11 of the connector pin 10 is engaged with the spiral guide groove 12. When the connector pin 10 is pushed into the through hole 5 for storage of a pin by the installation of a printed wiring board, the guide pin 11 is guided by the guide groove 12 to be rotated. Therefore, the connector pin 10 is pushed into the through hole 5 for storage of a pin with rotating, so that a wiping action is carried out and an oxide coating in a contact boundary part between the connector pin 10 and a connection pad of the printed wiring board can be removed.
