PURPOSE:To ensure that wash attains predetermined cleanliness after passage through a washing device by including a stage for measuring the cleanliness of the wash between rinsing and drying stages of the washing and drying method consisting of the respective stages for washing, rinsing and drying. CONSTITUTION:Wash is washed in the washing stage 1 and progresses to the rinsing stage 2. Rinsing of the wash is executed in this rinsing stage 2 and the wash progresses to a cleanliness deciding stage 3 after the end of the rinsing stage 2. Whether the cleanliness of the wash attains a predetermind value or not is decided in the stage 3. The wash is returned again to the washing stage 1 unless the predetermined cleanliness is not attained. The wash is sent to the ensuring drying stage 4 if this value is attained. The wash is washed until the predetermined cleanliness is attained in such a manner and, therefore, it is possible to ensure that the predetermined cleanliness is attained after the passage of the washing device.
