Summary:PURPOSE:To ensure the effective use of a parking lot and also to improve its service performance by placing a portable terminal equipment containing a display means at the parking lot in order to secure the mutual contact between the control side of the parking lot and the users and also to inform the parking positions of cars. CONSTITUTION:A parking lot control system consists of a controller 1 and a fixed transceiver device R installed in a control room of a parking lot and a portable transceiver device T used by a user. When the user inputs his scheduled parking time through the device (portable terminal) T of a designated garage number, this scheduled time is stored in a computer and the garage entering time and the scheduled returning time are shown on the displays 5 of the terminal T and the device R respectively. Then the garage position guide information stored in a PROM of the terminal T is displayed, and the user parks his car at a designated position. If the parking position of a car is unknown after shopping, the user operates a mode coversion part 7b of the terminal T to select the parking guide information. Thus the guide information is shown on the display 5 and the device R detects that the user returned to his car. Then a vacant state is registered.
