Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the constitution of a local file which is stored in a terminal equipment and to improve the memory efficiency for the terminal equipment together with reduction of the access time. CONSTITUTION:A group flag showing the transaction field of each commodity is added to each of commodity records which construct a file. A controller 1 extracts only the commodity data belonging to each transaction file out of a central file 11 which stores the data on all commodities of the transaction processing and prepares the local files for each transaction field. Then, the local files are sent to a POS terminal equipment 3 included in the corresponding transaction field. A local file 12 stored in the equipment 3 consists of only the data on the commodities belonging to the transaction fields different for each counter where the terminal 3 is installed.
