Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a felt needle serviceable for a longer period by designing the wear of respective barb parts to be made uniform. CONSTITUTION:This felt needle has an axial part, a second blade, blade 13. The blade 13 is provided with plural barbs 14 each having a trapezoidal press surface 14a tilted at an angle alpha with the vertical axis rectangular to the blade axial line. And, the envelope angle theta for these barbs 14, i.e., the tilt angle of both the sides of the press surface 14a is set at <=55 deg. correspondingly to the tilt angle alpha of the press surface 14a, and based on this angle theta, the bottom width dimension and tip width dimension of the press surface 14a and the height dimension H of the barbs 14 are specified.
