Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the subject copolymer being a random copolymer of propylene and 1-butene, having a low-melting point crystalline part even in a region of relatively larger 1-butene content and simultaneously having an amorphous part excellent in transparency and impact resistance. CONSTITUTION:This copolymer is a random copolymer of propylene and 1- butene and contains 31-99 mol% of 1-butene and has 0.5-10dl/g intrinsic viscosity [eta]measured at 135 deg.C in tetraline, a crystalline structure, a peak of propylene-1- butene chain at 43.8-44.1ppm in C-NMR spectrum and preferably >=40 deg.C melting point.
