Summary:PURPOSE:To simultaneously satisfy compactness and simple operation with no additional resitance imparted to manual travel nor during manual backward movement at the time of not using a motor. CONSTITUTION:A motor 7 and a roller 5 are mounted to an oscillating arm 6 rotatable around a point A as a fulcrum. A lever 1 is manually operated to start the motor 7, and external force is applied to the roller 5 so as to come in contact with the front face 4 of a rear wheel. Thereafter, even without external force, the roller 5 rolls on the front face 4 so as to make the connection of the roller 5 and front face complete. When the speed of the front face 4 or roller 5 is increased and the rotating speed of the motor 7 reaches the maximum value, the roller 5 is unable to maintain a high position and falls, and the connection between the roller 5 and the front face 4 is cut off. The connection between the roller 5 and the front face 4 is cut off even if switching off the power supply of the motor 7. Once the connection is cut off, the roller 5 and the front face 4 are not connected unless connecting operation is applied by a man.
