Summary:PURPOSE:To eliminate passenger's uncomfortable feelings by turning off a lamp which judges an abnormality based on a signal outputted from illumination abnormality detectors in a car of an elevator. CONSTITUTION:Illumination abnormality detectors 4a-4d in a car detect a change of luminous flux measured by photometers 3a-3d and transmit it as a lamp abnormality signal to an elevator controller 5. When a lamp 2a flickers, a lamp abnormality signal is outputted from the illumination abnormality detector 4a in the car with a contact 4aa in a closed condition to energize a lamp abnormality detection relay 9A coil. For this reason, a normally-closed contact 9Ab is opened and the lamp 2a is turned off. On the other hand, as for the energized condition of the lamp abnormality detection relay 9A coil, a normally-open contact 9Aa which is a self-hold contact is closed to form a self-hold circuit. The self-hold circuit is opened by operating a lamp exchange check button MA to release the lamp abnormality detection relay 9A coil.
