Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a lid opening/closing device capable of releasing a lock without difficulty, capable of smoothly opening a lid, and suitable for automation on a container having a hinged lid. CONSTITUTION:A lid opening/closing device is provided with a frame 25 having a positioning mechanism to load a container C at the prescribed position, a turning arm 38 for opening/closing a lid which is coaxially turnable with the hinge axis of the container C at the prescribed position, and a releasing actuator 33 to move a lock lever 10 of the container C at the prescribed position from the locking position to the releasing position. A sucking part 41 abutted on the upper surface of the lid from the top in a sucking and sucking-releasing manner is provided on the turning arm 38. The locking is released by turning the lock lever 10 in the condition where a lid 6 is pressed to the lower part by the turning arm, and the lid 6 is coaxially turned with a hinge 8 by the turning arm 38 to open the lid 6.
