Summary:PURPOSE:To provide the subject device making use of an existing leaf dredging means, designed to prevent to the utmost tea leaves from flying out upward through between both sides of a rubbing means and a leaf dredging means and also reduce their stay in between them. CONSTITUTION:In a final tea roller equipped with an arc-shaped rubbing panel 1 attached to the center of a rubbing kettle, a rubbing means 4 making longitudinally reciprocating swinging motions correspondingly to this panel situated below, and a set of leaf dredging means attached onto both the sides of this rubbing means, the leaf dredging device of the present invention is so designed as to provide at least one row of serrated groove on the inner surface below the leaf dredging means. A second version of this device is so designed as to provide plural rows of serrated grooves on the whole inner surface below the leaf dredging means. A third version of this device is so designed as to provide the inner surface below the leaf dredging means with separated serrated groove(s) made of synthetic resin, iron, synthetic rubber, or wood.
