CONSTITUTION:In the POS system, a voice generating device 4 for informing of the occurrence of abnormality and a line connecting device 3 for connecting the voice generating device 4 to a telephone line 5 are provided and the voice generating device 4 is connected to the line 5 by the line connecting device 3 when the prescribed key of a POS register 2 is operated so that the message of the voice generating device 4 reporting abnormality is informed to an external part.
