Summary: | PURPOSE:To accurately perform preprocessing for division and residue as to a negative number fast. CONSTITUTION:In the processing which normalizes data on a division object or residue object consisting of a sign bit and numeric bits following it when the data is a plus number, or normalizes complement data of 2 when a minus number, the number of bits of leading '1' of each data or the number of bits of leading '0' of its complement data of 1 is found when the data is minus and whether or not there are successive bits '10' in the bit sequence or whether or not there are successive bits '10' in the bit sequence of the its complement data of 1 is detected, and, a control signal for (negative number) normalization generated on the basis of the number of bits is made different by '1' between the case wherein there are the successive bits and a case wherein there are not. |
