Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a capacitor in which a polyphenylene sulfide film whose loss tangent in a high-temperature region and a low-frequency region is small and whose volume specific resistance at a high temperature is large is used as a dielectric material and whose dielectric loss is small. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor uses a dielectric material as a film in which a film or a sheetlike molded substance by a polyphenylene sulfide resin prepared without using a polymerization auxiliary agent has been stretched to at least one direction, whose tan at 10 to 10 Hz and at -50 to 200 deg.C is less than 1% and whose (rhov at 150 deg.C is 1X10 OMEGA.cm or higher.
