Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent image and simultaneously to prevent the sagging of a transfer paper and a failure in carrying with a simple constitution by controlling the rotation and stopping of a roller-like cleaning brush removing toner stuck to the rear surface of the transfer paper with arbitrary timing. CONSTITUTION:A transfer paper cleaning part having the roller-like cleaning brush 10 and a guiding plate 13 as a pressurizing member is provided on a transfer paper carrying path from a fixing part to a both-side copying transfer paper housing part. The cleaning brush 10 is rotated in the same direction as a transfer paper carrying direction at a speed faster than a transfer paper carrying speed and the guiding plate 13 is arranged in a position facing the cleaning brush 10 across the transfer paper carrying path. Then, the rotation and stopping of the cleaning brush 10 can be controlled with the arbitrary timing. Therefore, the toner stuck to the rear surface of the transfer paper 1 fed to tone both-side copying transfer paper housing part can be effectively removed and simultaneously the sagging of the transfer paper 1 and the failure in the carrying can be prevented.
