PURPOSE:To improve a system ceiling by constituting it in such a way that long-size materials of bar members of a prescribed sectional shape are prepared at a job site and bar members cut by a grinding wheel cutting machine into proper lengths suitable for the size of a ceiling panel without discrimination of main bars and cross-bars can be connected, and the need of press working, screw-hole machining, or the like can be dispensed with, and also working can be easily carried out without requiring much labor in assembling. CONSTITUTION:A bar-connection hanging member 10 for a system ceiling is locked by a hanging bolt 30 that is suspended from the ceiling. Then, the end parts of bars that have been cut in proper lengths suitable for the size of a ceiling panel 40 are insertedly fitted to the bar member engaging parts 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e provided at the four corners of the bar connection hanging member 10 for the system ceiling, and bar members 20 are extended both in the longitudinal direction and in the lateral direction for constituting a lattice-shaped framework. Then, ceiling panels 40 are collapse-mounted through the respective lattices in position for completing a system ceiling.
