Summary:PURPOSE:To normally operate a heat pipe under its horizontal state or an approximate horizontal state without installing any wick in it. CONSTITUTION:An entire heat pipe is formed by a metallic laminated plate 5 composed of three metallic plates 2, 3 and 4. Both upper and lower metallic plates 2 and 4 are bulged outwardly to form tubular bulged-out portions 6 and extending in a rightward direction and a leftward direction between each of both upper and lower metallic plates 2, 4 and an intermediate metallic plate 3, respectively. The intermediate metallic plate 3 is formed with communication holes 8 and 9 for use in communicating with both right and left ends of both tubular bulging-out portions 6 and 7. Working liquid 10 is enclosed in the lower tubular bulging portion 7.
