Summary: | PURPOSE:To burn combustible gas even at a low temperature by a method wherein a catalyst, obtained by coating the powder of specified elements of lanthanum based perovskite type oxide on a heat resistant substrate, is arranged at the rear stage of a catalyst, obtained by coating povwder bearing palladium oxide on a heat resistant substrate, to burn combustible gas. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst, made by coating powder, obtained by bearing palladium oxide on a bearer containing composite oxide consisting of two kinds or more of oxides of alumina, silica, titanik, zirconia and the oxides of rare earth elements, on a heat resistant substrate, is provided at the fore stage of the flow passage of combustible gas. A catalyst, made by coating the powder of lanthanum based perovskite type oxide shown by one kind or more of La1-x-Ax- Mea-alphaO3 Me1-alphaO3 (O<x<=0, 6, A: one kind or more of Ca, Sr, Ba, one kind or more of elements of Me, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, alpha>0) on a heat resistant substrate, is arranged at the rear stage of the catalyst to burn combustible gas. According to this method, combustible gas can be burned even at a low temperature. |
