Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce and remove the odorous and harmful components in a waste gas by using this small-sized device excellent in operability. CONSTITUTION:A harmful component-contg. waste gas 1 is supplied to plural adsorption tanks 4 and 5 with a suction fan 2, the harmful components in the waste gas are adsorbed and removed by an adsorbent such as active carbon and zeolite packed in the tanks. Acoordingly, when the adsorption is practically saturated and the adsorptivity of an adsorption tank 5, for example, is deteriorated, the inlet-outlet switching dampers 3 and 7 are switched to the regeneration side, shut-off valves 8 and 13 are opened, an regenerating heated gas is passed through the reaction tube 11, valve 13, adsorption tank 5 and valve 8 in this order through a circulating pump 10, and the harmful material is desorbed from the adsorbent in the tank 5 into the heated gas, introduced into the reaction tube 11 packed with a combustion catalyst along with the heated gas and air for combustion 15, burned and made harmless. The combustion gas leaving the reaction tube 11 is again sent to the adsorption tank 5.
