Summary:PURPOSE:To turn an armature around a center shaft by a coil current and the magnetic interactions between the armature and the respective hooked arms of yokes by a method wherein permanent magnets are provided between respective two pairs of the yokes which have the hooked arms at the positions 180 deg. apart from each other. CONSTITUTION:Hooked arms 5a-5d and hooked arms 6a-6d are provided on the one side edges of outer yokes 5 and inner yokes 6 respectively and the outer yokes 5 and inner yokes 6 are so assembled to have the respective hooked arms on diagonal positions while permanent magnets 7a and 7b are held between the outer yokes 5 and the inner yokes 6. If an exciting current is made to flow through a coil 9 in a direction opposite to the direction of the applied flux, the flux is increased and an arm 1b is attracted by the hooked arms 5a and 5b on the one end of an actuator and an arm 1c is attracted by the hooked arms 6c and 6d and an armature 1 is turned counter-clockwise until the arms 1b and 1d touch the hooked arms 5a, 5b, 6c and 6d. If a current is supplied through the coil 9 in the reversed direction, the armature 1 is turned clockwise. By repeating this operation, the armature 1 is swung.
