Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent change in the spacing between a lightning surge current sensor and a grounding conductor in the condition that the sensor is grounded by accurately and easily locating it at a certain distance from the grounding conductor. CONSTITUTION:A lighting arrester is supported by an arm of a steel tower through a mounting bracket, and the ground terminal of the insulator is connected with the bracket by a grounding conductor 16. A lightning surge current sensor 22 is opposingly installed to the grounding conductor 16 so that the lightning surge current flowing from the insulator to the conductor 16 is sensed. A holder arm 25 is installed protrusively on one side of the sensor 22, and a detaining groove 27 provided in the arm 25 is detained with the conductor 16, and the sensor 22 is installed opposingly at a certain distance from the conductor 16.
