Summary: | PURPOSE:To reduce a read-out error caused by warping of a disk simply and with a low manufacturing cost by detecting an error rate at the time of reproducing, and controlling an output of light at the time of reproducing by this error rate. CONSTITUTION:An error rate detecting circuit 25 detects an error rate at the time of reproducing based on an output of a differential amplifier 19. In this case, specific data is recorded in outermost periphery of an optical disk 1, and an error rate is measured by reading this specific data. When an error rate detected by the circuit 25 is 5X10<-5> or less, an output of a laser diode 5 at the time of reproducing is kept 1.2mW as it is, when an error rate becomes larger than 5X10<-5>, an output of the laser diode 5 is controlled so as to be increased to 2.0mW. And this operation is repeated except for stop of reproduction. |
