Summary:PURPOSE:To attain high scrap consumption and to obtain a silicon steel sheet having superior product surface characteristic and excellent in magnetic properties by specifying a composition, removing the occurrence of surface flaw, due to Cu and Sn resulted from raw material scrap, by means of combined addition of Ni and Cr, and improving deterioration in magnetic properties, caused by the incorporation of Cu, Sn, Ni, and Cr, by the control of V content. CONSTITUTION:This steel sheet has a composition consisting of, by weight, <0.005% C, 0.1-4.0% Si, <1.0% Mn, <0.2% P, <0.02% S, <1.5% Al, 0.01-0.2% Sn, 0.015-0.3% Co, 0.01-0.2% Ni, 0.02-0.3% Cr, 0.0005-0.008% V, <0.006% B, <0.004% N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. Although this silicon steel sheet can be produced by the known method, it is necessary to pay attention to the amount of V in scrap and the selective use of scrap and the treatment in a steelmaking stage are executed, if necessary.
